Exercise, or Bust!



I am relatively sure at age 26 I should not have a broken down peg leg of a knee. But as a runner, it is what it is, and in an effort to stay fit I have come up with a few alternate (and fun!) exercise options to keep my figure while staying off my gimp leg.

  • WATER AEROBICS
    Ideal for perfecting your synchronized swimming techniques. Definitely wear a swimming cap.

    Bonus: You get to play with lots of fun, colorful toys!

    •  TAE BO
    Did everyone forget about Billy Blanks? HOW?!

    Probably hard on the knees.. best to just stick to waving your arms wildly in circles.
    Not to be confused with the Shake Weight, which, well.. you know.

    • JAZZERCISE
    Not for the light of heart (she is VERY excited) and it looks like there's some bouncing. This might be the pre-running stage in recovery.

    For the skeptics, you get to wear some rad outfits!
    Also a nice alternate: Power Walking. Red hat not required.

    • COUCH POTATO
    If all else fails, we always have this guy as our role model. He is suffering from a torn ACL.
